EMT has announced that the 10,000th flight sortie of its Mini-UAS ALADIN took place June 28, 2011, and the 7,000th flight sortie of its TUAS (Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System) LUNA was on June 27, 2011.
ALADIN can be launched by hand and enables flexible operations in demanding environments. The close integration of the ALADIN Mini-UAS in army units provides near real-time availability of ISR results at the tactical level.
LUNA is a small-operational footprint, runway-independent TUAS. It can deploy a wide range of payloads such as EO/IR, SAR, SIGINT or CBRN sensors and relay payloads. LUNA can stay aloft for 8 hours. It is thus very flexible and can respond to fast-changing mission requirements. The close and organic integration of the LUNA TUAS in army units provides near real-time availability of ISR results at the tactical level.
Fielding various technology upgrades, EMT has built on lessons learned in theatres around the globe to meet the urgent requirements of the German Bundeswehr with the proven ALADIN Mini-UAS and LUNA-TUAS platforms. EMT´s leading Tactical UAS (TUAS), LUNA uses the same design concepts to ensure reliable mission success. The growing capabilities of ALADIN (EO, IR, CBRN) and of LUNA (IMINT, SIGINT, CBRN) are leading to further international operations. ALADIN was first deployed in Afghanistan in 2005 and the LUNA TUAS has been operational in Afghanistan, in extremely austere environmental conditions, since 2003.
EMT has a varied product range and has delivered over 500 tactical UAS to customers in three continents over more than 10 years.
