NAB Vegas As Seen by DJI Phantom Vision UAS

Ever wondered what NAB Vegas looked like through the eyes of a fully stabilized flying camera?   The footage above shows the Las Vegas strip and from inside the NAB exhibit hall.

This video was taken using the DJI PHANTOM and the new DJI Zenmuse HERO gimbal.  The Zenmuse HERO is the first fully stabilized 2-axis gimbal for DJI’s PHANTOM quadcopter.  Previously, in order to get aerial footage like this, a person needed a nearly $20K rig that required extreme levels of expertise.  Now, with the PHANTOM outfitted with a Zenmuse HERO, DJI is bringing Hollywood style capabilities to the average person for less than a 10th of the price and is so easy to fly that anyone can be in the air creating mind blowing videos with only a few days practice.

  1. I wonder if they knew it was illegal once they flew outside the door. I imagine the FAA will be calling after they see the video. Nice imagery though.

  2. Really! We can not even get COA’s for rural areas and you guys at DJI are flying over pedestrians on the Strip in Vegas at night. And we wonder why the FAA is nervous about this industry.
