’s annual conference & exhibition for the global unmanned aircraft systems community with take place in Paris, France on 5-7 June 2012.
In order to remain in line with the terminology [remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) & remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS)] being proposed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the event is designated “RPAS 2012”.
In view of the ongoing work by the European Commission (EC) UAS Panel, recent & upcoming regulatory and standards developments, and the increasing use of RPAS for non-military purposes (security-, safety-, scientific & research-related, contractor supplied aerial work), the conference will, besides the regular topics it addresses, put a focus on the following:
a) The EC UAS Panel Conclusion & The Way Forward
b) Non-Military RPAS Applications
c) End-customer requirements relative to Aerial Work
