will be displaying the Embla VTOL UAS at next week’s Avalon 2011 International Airshow at Geelong, Victoria in Australia.The UAS will be demonstrated in the indoor UAS flying arena at various times throughout the show The Embla is integrated with an autonomous, adaptive flight control system and stabilized micro gimbal developed by Goodrich.
The company will also be displaying its Advanced ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) data collection and dissemination systems, including the DB-110 dual-band EO-IR (electro-optical infrared) long-range sensor for fast-jets and large UAS.
Goodrich has two local operations based in Sydney employing 150 staff. These facilities provide comprehensive aftermarket support to a wide range of civil and military operators together with manufacturing equipment for the F-35 Lightning II.
