Finnish catapult manufacturer Robonic Ltd Oy, part of the Sagem Group (Safran) says that the selection of its MC2555 launcher by AME Unmanned Air Systems’ (AME UAS) as part of its new Fury 1500 system opens new doors for the company in the North American market.
“This selection is an important step for Robonic and demonstrates our continued market leadership in the development of zero point launcher technology for advanced tactical unmanned air systems” says Robonic Managing Director Juha Moisio.
“Our company has a sustained history of success in working closely with new unmanned air system developers, and over the past three years have been involved with no less than seven next generation air vehicle programmes. The addition of Fury 1500 to this list reflects the maturity of Robonic’s launcher family and its leadership role as a supplier of choice in the evolving tactical UAS market segment.”
Robonic launchers are already in service in the US as part of ongoing targets service operations for the US Army provided by EADS North America.
Robonic Ltd Oy, based in Tampere, Finland, is a Sagem Défense Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) owned engineering company.
