The 13th annual UAS Conference gets underway tomorrow in Paris at 2pm. First item on the agenda is a presentation of UVS International and its Board of Directors, an explanation of the Global Access Initiative, the activities deployed over the last 12 months, the objectives of the UAS 2011 conference and the association’s activities in the coming year.
The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to a Plenary Session on International Regulatory Activities, with presentations from Leslie Cary, ICAO, Jim Coyne, ICAO UAS Study Group Chairman (CASA, Australia), Ron van de Leijgraaf, JARUS Chairman (CAA, The Netherlands) followed by a Questions & Answers Panel with Matt DeGarmo (Mitre, USA), Gérard Mardiné (Sagem, France), Abdoulaye N’Diaye (Thales, France), Mike Lissone (Eurocontrol)
After the Refreshment Break, the Session will continue with presentations by Dave Haddon, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Europe Nick Brewer, Civil Aviation Authority, UK & Chairman JARUS 1309 Group, Mike Lissone, and Xiaogong Lee, Federal Aviation Administration – Research & Technology, USA.
The final item will be the exclusive EC UAS Panel & The European Commission’s Intitiative Regarding the Development of a Strategy for the Future of UAS in the European Union. On the panel will be Caterine Ebah-Moussa, European Commission – DG Enterprise, Umberto Rossi, European Commission – DG Mobility & Transport, Filippo Tomasello & David Haddon, European Aviation Safety Agency and Luc Tytgat & Mike Lissone, Eurocontrol
