, a not-for-profit, scientific-research institution, has teamed with Unmanned Applications Institute International (UAII) to provide technical curriculum and faculty instruction for several UAS education and maintenance programmes to various institutions in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Ohio.
North Dakota State College of Science has already committed to this rapidly evolving field by incorporating Riverside Research curriculum into their UAS programme for 2012.
Riverside Research is excited that it was able to establish a long-term partnership with UAII to provide technical intelligence curriculum in the following areas:
- Introduction to the World of Intelligence: presents an overview of the Intelligence Community, its origin and purpose, as well as its current structure, and the diverse roles and missions of its members providing students a foundation upon which they will build.
- Introduction to Geospatial Remote Sensing: emphasizes the science, technology, and applications of remote sensing, bringing together related information in materials science, physics, optics, electronics, computer processing, and other disciplines.
- Introduction to Geospatial Imagery Analysis: focuses upon still imagery, geographic information science and technology with analytical tradecraft to develop actionable GEOINT with an emphasis on electro-optic and thermal infrared imagery.
- Introduction to Full Motion Video (FMV) Analysis: leverages motion imagery, geographic information science and technology with analytical tradecraft to develop actionable GEOINT that supports military as well as civilian missions to include national security, homeland security, and disaster response.
- Introduction to Activity Based Intelligence (ABI): delves into this all-encompassing and rapidly evolving intelligence discipline by providing a more accurate and actionable depiction of the battlespace using multiple technical and non-technical intelligence disciplines and analytical tradecrafts.
“As a leader in Technical Intelligence Education and Training our goal is to establish our expertise in UAS technology. By teaming with UAII, we are well on our way to achieving that goal” said, Shawn Kalis, Director, Education and Training, Intelligence and Information Systems Group, Riverside Research. “We look forward to expanding on our partnership with UAII by offering more courses in the near future.”
