General Dynamics Information Technology has been selected by the US Air Force Research Laboratory as an awardee for the Manufacturing Technologies for Remotely Piloted Vehicles Contract. The five-year, multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a total potential value of $45 million among all awardees.
General Dynamics will develop new design methods to improve supply chain and manufacturing techniques for all aspects of Remotely Piloted Vehicles and Aircraft.
Ken Hess, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Air Force Joint Services sector said, “General Dynamics has a long, proven history with the Air Force Research Laboratory. We will deliver new design methods and improvements to supply chain and manufacturing techniques in an effort to reduce costs and improve the efficiency and availability of remotely piloted vehicles for the U.S. Air Force.”
