This event took place at Eurocontrol Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on 13 & 14 September 2011 and was attended by 212 persons (small & large industry: 42; military: 28; regulators: 69; research organization: 18; users: 35; various: 10). The organizations present included: European Aviation Safety Agency, ECAC, European Commission, European Defence Agency, ICAO, and NATO. The regulators came from 22 countries, namely: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Rep., Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK.
At the conclusion of the first day, just prior to the cocktail hosted by Eurocontrol, GreenX gave a flight demonstration on the Eurocontrol premises of the flapping wing UAS it has developed for bird control (decreasing bird strike risk at airports).

Eurocontrol and Luc Tytgat, the workshop’s chef-de-file, are congratulated with having organized a very successful workshop, which substantially & significantly contributed to the objectives of the European Commission UAS Panel.
