, an international Radio Frequency (RF) solutions company, has been selected to join the University of Dayton Research Institute’s Center for Unmanned Aerial System Exploitation (CUE) consortium.

CUE was established in September 2009 under a grant from the Ohio Third Frontier programme to meet increasing demand for sensor & payload integration, systems analysis, and flight demonstration & test of unmanned aerial systems. Serving as a fully collaborative enterprise between Government, Industry, and Academia, CUE offers world-class test beds with synthetic environments for design & evaluation, full engineering work-centers with state-of-the-art equipment for rapid prototyping, in addition to a full network of top researchers, scientists and engineers.

NuWaves is pledging a minimum of $50,000 of Independent Research & Development (IR&D) funds to advance the UAS electronic technologies. “Being a part of the UAS ‘think tank’ with CUE is a win-win situation,” said Jeff Wells, President and CEO of NuWaves Engineering. “This partnership not only puts NuWaves on the frontline of advancing these technologies, it also enhances the opportunity to interface with an extensive network of engineers from government, industry, and academia.”

NuWaves Engineering is a supplier of Radio Frequency (RF) Systems, Products, and Engineering Services designed to customer requirements.. NuWaves offers a wide range of Engineering services to fit most RF applications, as well as a complete line of commercially available products such as High Intercept Low Noise Amplifiers (HILNA(TM)), miniature filters (ìFILTER(TM)), upconverters, downconverters, transceivers, (NuPower(TM)) power amplifiers, and a fiber optic RF distribution & digital signals control network.
