MicroPilot’s MP2128HELI was chosen by Bertin Technologies, a French-based engineering company for its HoverEye-EX.
The HoverEye-EX, known for efficient tactical vertical take-off and landing, offers quick deployment and autonomous mission profiles. The HoverEye-EX, a turbine powered helicopter UAS, performed spectacularly in front of Eurosatory’s 1,433 exhibitors and 53,000 attendees from around the globe. The UAS flew six times daily and captured video with its high definition PTZ camera system. The footage provided onlookers with an aerial view of flying scenarios in real-time.
MicroPilot’s decades of experience in UAS and especially helicopter UAS was a key enabler in the success of Bertin’s unmanned helicopter. “MicroPilot made its mark as the brains behind Bertin’s well-performing HoverEye-EX,” says Howard Loewen, MicroPilot President. “The fact that this helicopter was included in the show’s live demonstration is a testament to the reliability and many safety features incorporated into all of our autopilots. ” adds Loewen.
