Danish company Sky-Watch was present at Farnborough, displaying its Huginn X1 quadrotor system.
The flight control system keeps it stable in winds of up to twenty-three knots, and its sensor suite includes a sonar to avoid collisions, stay clear of the ground and only land where there are no obstructions. It weighs only 1.4 kg and its small size allows it to be transport as hand luggage on planes or in the back of a car.
It can even keep flying if two of the rotors stop working. Safety certification is the key, and that should be cleared in the next few months.
