Singular Aircraft Unveils Low Cost Unmanned Amphibious Twin-Engined Aircraft

has announced that it is developing a low cost unmanned, amphibious, twin-engined aircraft able to land and take off from short unpaved airstrips & water.It is designed for fire-fighting, agricultural, transport and surveillance with MTOW of 3.500Kg and Payload of 2.200Kg.

The aircraft is currently in the final assembly process and the company plans to hold flight tests will be on September 2012. Pre-orders are now open for confirmed production slots for the first units to be delivered in 2013.

Four main configurations allow agricultural, fire-fighting, surveillance and general cargo capability, either alone or in fleet configuration, and for either by day or night operation.

The design is based on proven engines running on regular automotive petrol and features a tough reliable construction.

The key feature of the aircraft is its ability to deliver 2,200Kg of payload into remote non-accessible areas or loiter for more than 40 hours in surveillance mode, at a fraction of the actual costs of ownership and operation.

The company estimates operation costs from 180 USD/Hour and a unit price of 370,000.00 USD, making the platform one of the most competitive in this market segment.
