The ISR Group of Tennessee has signed an exclusive agreement to market and maintain worldwide the Nova unmanned aircraft system of Altavian Inc.
Nova is an electric-powered UAS that can be launched by hand. It weighs about 11 pounds, cruises at 35 miles per hour and can provide three-dimensional mapping and real-time thermal, infrared or HD data.
ISR said the agreement “further advances unmanned aircraft technology into the realm of commercial application, and will allow for further development into the industry, particularly within the public sector.”
“A part of ISR Group’s mission is to fill the gaps in unmanned technology requirements for government and commercial entities,” said ISR Group founder and Chief Executive Officer Alfred Lumpkin. “Our extensive expertise in supporting cutting-edge technologies for unmanned systems and our proven capabilities will add value to the deployment of the Nova platform.”
The Nova has been deployed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Florida to support a number of programmes, including Everglades restoration.
