AERIE has signed a qualification agreement with Austrian Aircraft Manufacturer HB Flugtechnik, in order to having the capability to even produce parts and models in accordance to EASA Certified Design Organisation, Production Organisation and Maintenance Organisation Approvals.
This agreement formalizes a several-year long collaboration and makes AERIE unique on the UAS Market compared to other startups.
Sooner or later it will be a “must have” to offer EASA certified capabilities, says AERIE. The company can take advantage of the long history of HB Flugtechnik GmbH, making it a trustable long – term partner for customers. HB Flugtechnik has a long tradition of building and developing motorized gliders with push propeller propulsion systems. This experience with shafts is also a benefit for AERIE, which uses shaft drives on their bigger versions D-150 (150 kg Take Off Mass) and K-200 (200kg) in order to keep the centrifugal force effect to the engines low.
AERIE is also developing new configuration options which evolve from the S-25 “Swift”.
