Within the framework of its Global Access Initiative and its longstanding support of ICAO, UVS International has agreed to support the Performance-based Navigation (PBN) Symposium organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal, Québec, Canada on 16-19 October 2012.
This unique event will bring together key partners from the aviation industry including, international organizations, aircraft manufacturers, air navigation service providers, airlines, regulators, ATC system manufacturers, avionics designers, air traffic controllers, pilots, the military, aeronautical information companies and instrument procedure designers to share the latest developments relating to performance-based navigation applications.
The Symposium will provide an opportunity to:
- discuss recent developments, strategies and guidance material
- hear about the status of global and regional implementation
- review actual examples of procedures in use
- identify the challenges that need to be addressed in order to speed up the implementation process
- develop an action plan for presentation to the 12th Air Navigation Conference (16 to 30 November 2012)
