In mid 2013, the European Commission’s European regulatory roadmap relative to the incremental integration of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) into the current European civil airspace environment will be published. It will take into account both airworthiness and air traffic management issues. Similar work is going on in other parts of the world. This freeworkshop, organised by UVS International, is taking place at the ATC Global 2013 Exhibition in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 12 March 2013. It brings together key regulatory organisations (EASA, European Commission, JARUS, Netherlands Ministry of Transport, CAA-NL) and experts (EuroSDR, EuroUSC, UVS International), to discuss the blockers and enablers to the current situation, as well as the way forward.
