An article last month suggested the Air Force was terminating the Block 40 (https://www.uasvision.com/2013/03/28/northrop-grumman-gets-433m-us-air-force-global-hawk-logistics-contract). The Block 30 will retire at the end of 2014. Why would the Air Force sign a nearly half billion logistics contract for an aircraft poised to exit the inventory?
