and General Dynamics UK have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to mutually support each other in the promotion of their respective capabilities and products and will exhibit the Redkite UAS on the General Dynamics UK stand at DSEi this week.
The Redkite is based on a proven Penguin B unmanned aircraft platform manufactured by UAV Factory Ltd. and is equipped with Blue Bear’s SNAP avionics, Autonomy software and sensors for day/night operation. The Nexus Ground Control Station and Autonomy software ensure that Operators can focus on their surveillance task rather than on flying the vehicle. Operators are trained to deploy the REDKITE RPAS using the XCalibur Task Trainer, also developed by Blue Bear and on display on the Antycip Simulation Ltd Stand.
The Penguin B UAS platform, supplied by UAV FACTORY Ltd, demonstrated a 54.5 hour world record flight in 2012 and is the ideal platform for Blue Bear’s technology. Conforming to the 55lbs regulation requirement, it is capable of operating from most terrain and has sold to 20 countries.
Dr Yoge Patel, CEO of Blue Bear said, ‘We are very excited to showcase the Redkite on the General Dynamics stand at DSEi. It is a world beating product capable of carrying diverse payloads within and, as such, offers a compelling capability to both military and civilian users in a variety of applications. We would like to thank both General Dynamics UK and UAV FACTORY Ltd for their invaluable help and support’.
DSEi starts on Tuesday 10 September and runs through to Friday 13 September. It is being held at ExCel in London.
