The e-volo team celebrated the world premiere of the Volocopter VC200 at the “GreenTec Awards” in Berlin, Europe’s largest environmental and economic prize ceremony, at the end of August.
The first prototype of the VC200 was completed just in time for the gala event. e-volo was talk of the evening and almost omnipresent, because in 15 meters the Volocopter VC200 “flew” over the celebrities. “We are proud that we are placed tightly behind a global player such as Airbus,” said e-volo-CEO Alexander Zosel: “The decision of the judges is absolute comprehensible for us. The soon to be expected CO2 savings through the use of fuel cells in large passenger aircraft is a great thing.”
“We are on schedule with the development,” added e-volo Managing Director Stephan Wolf: “Many thanks go to our key partners, the DG Flugzeugbau. In the recent weeks, their employees have tirelessly produced the last parts of the VC200.”
