Nine of the 75 Raven UAS that the Netherlands possesses have crashed since January, TV programme Pownews has discovered. They are unstable in rain or wind, Pownews reports on the basis of files from the defence ministry that it obtained via the Openness of Government Act (WOB).
The Ministry of Defence has reportedly meanwhile grounded the aircraft due to the problems.
The little planes cost 200,000 Euros apiece.
