Albatros D.III World War 1 Model Flight-Tested

The Albatros D.III was a biplane fighter aircraft piloted by the German and Austrio-Hungarian Air services during World War I. These aircraft were flown by many of the top German Ace pilots and was very dominant during their period. The Albatros is constructed of a semi-monocoque, plywood skinned fuselage. Albeit some minor issues with the lower wing construction, the Albatros was considered pleasant and easy to fly. The sesquiplane arrangement of the wings offered improved climb, maneuverability, and downward visibility compared to previous aircrafts. It was prone to spinning but easily recoverable.
