SF Express, a Shanghai-based logistics company, announced that it has recently commenced trial operations. SF Express said that UAS delivery can save labour costs and improve delivery efficiency, as reported by the Beijing News. The company plans to use the unmanned aircraft delivery services across their networks across China, in remote areas in particular.
Regulations for flying in China’s low-altitude airspace remain unclear, so SF Express will have to host discussions with relevant government agencies before it launches the commercial use of unmanned aircraft.
