Earlier this week an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) was being tested for an aerial survey the 6.5 miles of track belonging to the Bodmin and Wenford Railway company.
The hexacopter, owned by Newquay-based Superdrone Aerial Services, is powered by lithium batteries, and is equipped with an underslung, servo stabilised camera. It boasts GPS assisted flight, and has a live video link to the operator on the ground.
