His Excellency Major General Dr. Obaid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for IDEX 2015, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, ADNEC Acting Group CEO, Mr. Saleh Al Marzooqi, CEO IDEX and representatives from the UAE Armed Forces GHQ gathered to highlight the latest technologies and products that will be on display at the 12th edition of The International Defence Exhibition and Conferences (IDEX).
About 1,200 companies in this edition will showcase their latest products and offerings in the field of defence and security over an area of 133,000 square meters that will include both indoor and outdoor displays.
In its first year UMEX will also see other leading world class companies such as INSITU/Boeing who are bringing down the ‘Integrator’, Denel’s ‘Seeker’ will be on display. Shenzen AEE will be participating with its ‘F50’ and Hobby Club a UAE based company with showcase the ‘Small A/C’.
The International Defence Exhibition and Conferences (IDEX) has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI), a principal sponsor of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) at IDEX 2015. The sponsorship that saw ADASI as a principal sponsor will now also see the company sponsoring live demonstrations of the unmanned systems vehicles that will take place at Al Tarif, in the western region of Abu Dhabi.
IDEX takes place biennially at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), which is centrally located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The IDEX exhibition takes over 100% of the state-of-the-art exhibition centre utilising 133,000sqm of event space.UMEX is designed as an ideal business platform to promote and showcase unmanned systems technology. The 1st Edition UMEX will provide a professional platform for manufacturers to meet operators and establish lucrative business relationships while promoting the ecological, environmental, civil and humanitarian benefits of unmanned systems.
