Boeing Directed Energy: Blasting Targets with Lasers

Engineers at Boeing are building laser systems to protect  troops. The US Army’s High Energy Laser Mobile Demonstrator (HEL MD) directs powerful light beams that stop UAVs, mortars and artillery in midair.
