Sweden’s SmartPlanes has, after presentations held with VCU, Virginia Commonwealth University, and USACE, US Army Corps of Engineers, received orders for its fixed wing UAS, Unmanned Aerial Systems, Freya, equipped with multiple sensors.
The sale of the UAS is handled through a GSA procurement contract, General Services Administration, held by SmartPlanes’ distributor Caron East Inc.
SmartPlanes Freya is a micro class UAV. The payload bay can carry up to 600 grams of sensor equipment payload, and Freya has in its current configuration an endurance of one hour’s flight time.
