Beyond impressive fly-by’s by military aircraft, digital flight systems, affordable means of air travel and the latest drones are also exciting visitors to this year’s Airshow China.
Various Chinese unmanned aerial vehicles showcased at the show, for example, will bring intensified competition to the global drone market.
China Electronics Technology Group Corporation unveiled China’s first test prototype of fixed-wing UAV cluster here. This implements the principle validation of a 67 fixed-wing UAV cluster, breaking the world record for the 50 fixed-wing UAV cluster maintained by the U.S. Navy.
Aero-Starloop, a private Chinese UAV company, is presenting its latest product; an unmanned helicopter with a turbine shaft engine. The craft can be loaded with 65 kilograms of weight and fly at a speed of 185 kilometres per hour. The manufacturer says it is by far the largest turbine shaft unmanned helicopter in the world.
