California-based Aerial MOB, which supplies drone services for film and TV production, has signed an exclusive deal with William F. White International to see its flying cameras rented out in Canada. The deal with Toronto-based Whites, Canada’s largest production equipment supplier, will have Aerial MOB’s small, unmanned aircrafts systems, or drones, crossing the border to provide higher vistas and tighter shots on Hollywood movie and TV shoots.

Aerial MOB supplies its drone services to all six major studios, with its technology having been used on the Warner Bros.’ TV series Lethal Weapon, HBO’s The Leftovers and Paramount/MGM’s Ben Hur. Transport Canada last year approved commercial drone use, certifying Aerial MOB to fly its camera drones in both the U.S. and Canada.

And William F. White, by making Aerial MOB drone services available here, continues to invest in leading-edge movie-making technology for Canada that Hollywood producers have access to back in Los Angeles. “This is directly in keeping with Whites’ unwavering mission to remain at the forefront of our industry by being first in Canada to introduce and deliver the most cutting-edge production tools available,” said Whites chairman and CEO Paul Bronfman in a statement.

Whites recently supplied rental equipment to Canadian shoots for Suicide Squad, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Designated Survivor, Supergirl and War for The Planet of the Apes.

Based in San Diego, California, Aerial MOB is helmed by industry veterans Treggon Owens, Steve Blizzard, Tony Carmean and Jonathan Montague, with locations and crews throughout North America.
