General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. has been awarded a $49,336,683 cost-plus-fixed-fee order (FA8620-18-F-2363) to previously awarded basic ordering agreement FA8620-15-G-4040.
This contract provides for tasks necessary to develop, field, and sustain Air Force Special Operations Command and Air Combat Command MQ-9 software development. Work will be performed in Poway, California, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2020.
This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2017 and 2018 research and development funds in the amount of $9,864,489 are being obligated at the time of the award.
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
