The Indian Institute of Drones, an institute for drone pilots across the globe has celebrated completion of 50 batches of trainees in 1 year 6 months.
It started its courses in February 2017. Indian Institute of Drones provides training for commercial and industrial drone pilots across the globe by offering end-to-end solutions, integration services and hands-on support for pilots while training. In its 1year 6months of activity, Indian Institute of drones has also started its franchises successfully and trained 500+ pilots in 9 cities and 5 countries.
The Indian Institute of Drones Offers 4 courses in both multi rotor pilot training & fixed wing pilot training. Our students are from Indian Army, Octopus, Greenko, Tata Power, AP Police, Marvel Geo Spacial, Dell, Reliance, IIC Technologies, Ramboll, Credence media, Aigeo, Karunya University, NAL, Computer Plus, Zigma, Vidrona, Yaal Systems, IGCAR and much more. We are committed to provide in-depth knowledge for our students in this training.
About Organization: Indian Institute of drones (IID) a registered nonprofit organization with Reg. No. 4/1267/159/206/67 under the educational trust act India with Uttar Pradesh Government. The institute has already trained more than 500+ drone pilots and more than 200+ individuals been training as of date. With more than 8 qualified military UAV pilots retired from Indian Air Force and having 9 centers across India and 5 center internal. The institute adheres to extreme flight safety and stringent training policies. IID is recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. IID is also on the committee of Drone Policy at DGCA. All IID course curriculum is as per DGCA training policy.

IID is a money making Private Organisation. While it is true that they conduct certificate training, The training curriculum is not certified or approved by DGCA in India. Also they do not have any Licence or Permission / approval / permit from DGCA to conduct training.
The DGCA is yet to come out with a Drone Policy, only the Draft policy has been issued and its under review. Hence there does not exist a Training Policy for civilian Drones given out by DGCA in India
