The upcoming 7th annual RPAS CivOps conference will take place on 23 & 24 January 2019 in Madrid, Spain, where it is being hosted by the (AESA), the Spanish national aviation safety & security agency.
RPAS CivOps 2019 is an international conference focusing on policy & regulatory matters for civil RPAS/drone operators. It will address operational matters, current & future applications, standard operational scenarios, Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) and its use, operational experience, standards & product safety, operator qualification, pilot training & qualification, test range safety rules, data protection & privacy, insurance, and the upcoming European Union RPAS regulation.
Event Focus: The Civil Drone Councils of France, Germany, the Netherlands & Spain will give updates on their activities. In addition, a focus will be put on the harmonization of national approaches to certain matters of critical importance to the current & future RPAS operator community (and that are not covered by the upcoming European regulation), e.g. flight schools (pilot training & qualification), standard operational scenarios, and test range safety rules.
The presentations will broaden the awareness of current & future RPAS operators, their potential customers, national regulatory authorities, ANSPs, RPAS manufacturers, service providers, national public/private partnerships, European Commission, European Union agencies, investors, and the press.
