has been granted Special Airworthiness Certificates (Experimental Aircraft) for multiple, advanced V-BAT aircraft, authorizing operations in the national airspace.
The FAA Certification follows an extensive review process including detailed scrutiny of V-BAT operational and test documentation by FAA officials, a safety board review, an inspection of the aircraft and demonstration flight(s). The final stage of the process culminated with an inspection and flight near the brand new Martin UAV North Texas production facility in close proximity to the company headquarters.
This approval by the FAA permits accelerated development of next generation V-BAT system capabilities and the refinement of existing features.
Ruben Martin, Chief Executive Officer, said,
“The FAA Certifications granted in mid-April coincide perfectly with the company’s expansion efforts in the greater DFW metroplex”. The company has recently moved most of its California operations and offices to a brand new, state-of-the-art production facility in Prosper, TX, about 15 miles from the company headquarters in Plano, TX.
