Threod Systems at UMEX 2020

Threod Systems

has  announced its’ participation at UMEX 2020 exhibition. The show is taking place in ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, from 23rd to 25th of February. It is the 4th edition of the unmanned systems exhibition and conference dedicated to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), robotics, components, drones, and more.

No regulations on MWIR gimbals

Last year Threod penetrated the Middle East market quite successfully, including the 16 MWIR Orca gimbal deal with its partner International Golden Group amongst several other transactions. The highlight of the show will be Threod’s gimbal solutions. Due to Threod’s neutral location in the European region, the export restriction for sophisticated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) gimbal solutions are low. Additionally, there are no regulations on imports and no need getting additional licensing for the products, including MWIR.

UMEX highlights

The product line includes a range of Orca and Dome and a lighter Shark gimbal suitable for mini- and multirotor type platforms. Whereas Orca 220 is a perfect tool, easily integrated to any UAS, Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), manned aviation, or other observational platforms. Orcas’ cooled MWIR sensor detects a vehicle from over 16 km.

Threod’s competitive advantage is the development of all the gimbals in-house. This ensures the delivery of a stable video stream of the highest quality at a very competitive price. Most importantly, the software solution should satisfy the most demanding customer requirement. It includes features like:

  • video enhancement
  • fire support
  • geo-lock
  • screen steering
  • moving target indication, and more
