Parrot announced that it is partnering with DroneSense – a software company whose comprehensive drone management platform enables public safety organizations to build, manage, and scale their unmanned aircraft programs.
Through this partnership, public safety UAS teams are able to use the full suite of DroneSense capabilities tailor-made for the needs of first responders with their ANAFI aircraft.
Parrot’s ANAFI and ANAFI Thermal drones offer an ultra-compact tool for professionals, helping them gain new vantage points on a situation using the drone’s aerial insights. In addition to its built-in 4K HDR camera, ANAFI Thermal also integrates a FLIR® thermal sensor— allowing users to easily capture thermal and visual readings for faster response times, along with higher precision and efficiency. This functionality coupled with the scene management tools in the DroneSense Platform will provide public safety operators with an unparalleled level of situational awareness that will ultimately help save more lives.
DroneSense brings together everything public safety UAS teams need to effectively manage their drone programs, all on one integrated platform. DroneSense provides drone pilots with an intuitive flight control interface that they can use to fly any mission with any drone in their fleet. Incident commanders gain complete situational awareness with live video streams and telemetry data from drones in the air as well as the ability to collaborate with the pilots on scene from anywhere. Additionally, DroneSense provides program administrators with a complete system of record to keep track of critical data like flight logs, hardware, and personnel.
“Parrot consistently offers top-of-the-line solutions to our enterprise customers, and this partnership with DroneSense will allow us to deliver a seamless and integrated experience,” said Jerome Bouvard, Parrot Director of Strategic Partnership. “With entire fleets of drones to manage, decision-makers in the public safety sector are often faced with unique challenges when it comes to effective mission planning and hardware tracking. We expect these challenges to be eased greatly through this ongoing partnership.”
“It’s our mission at DroneSense to enable first responders to build and scale fully operational drone programs that harness the value of the latest drone technology safely and effectively,” said DroneSense CEO, Christopher Eyhorn. “Through this integration, we are excited to make it easier for public safety drone programs to utilize the highly capable ANAFI drones successfully in their operations.”
Through its SDK Partner program, Parrot is working to create a global ecosystem of drone software providers to serve the unique and ever-evolving needs of its enterprise and professional users.
Support for Parrot’s ANAFI and ANAFI Thermal drones will be available in the forthcoming release of the DroneSense Platform. DroneSense is offered as an annual subscription, and new customers have the opportunity to take advantage of a 30-day free trial.
