ZALA Kamikaze Drone to Complete Tests this Year

State tests of the KYB combat unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by ZALA Aero (part of the Kalashnikov group of companies of the Rostec state corporation) will be completed in 2021. This was reported to TASS during the international arms exhibition IDEX – 2021.

KYB was shown in the UAE two years ago, during this time preliminary tests have been completed, the letter O has been assigned. It is planned to complete state tests this year,” the press service informed.

An export-oriented modification of the UAV, designated KYB-E, is under development. This work is also planned to be completed this year.

“There is interest in the product from the countries of the Middle East, but before the appearance of the export version of KYB it is premature to talk about negotiations,” the Kalashnikov officials noted.

The KYB kamikaze combat UAV was first presented at the IDEX-2019 international arms exhibition.
