Turkey’s Defence Industries Research and Development Institute (SAGE) and DASAL ( Joint venture between Altinay and ASELSAN) presented their UAV + ammunition solution.
DASAL’s UAV will carry SAGE’s Togan ammunition to the target zone. It can carry eight Togan at once.
This video shows that the Kargo-150 octocopter, developed and manufactured by DASAL, has a range of up to 40 km and a payload of 150 kg and can operate day and night with a suspension system mounted on four 81-mm SAGE’s Togan mortar strikes hit the target and successively fires ammunition, hitting it.
The suspension system installed on the Kargo-150 is similar to the one demonstrated at the IDEF-2019 exhibition, installed on the new light Turkish Hurkus-C light attack aircraft.
Interestingly, the infographic shown in the published video shows that the Kargo-150 UAV has two suspension systems with a total payload of 8 Togan munitions – a payload that was previously demonstrated on the Hurkus-C attack aircraft.
It is known that 81-mm Togan ammunition can be equipped with different warheads, which allows you to choose the most effective ammunition to hit a specific target, and in turn, the algorithms of the onboard fire control system provide accuracy [more previously reported CEP – 10 meters].s
