Azur Drones Rewarded at World Nuclear Exhibition Awards

A few weeks after its launch, the first autonomous aerial solution for radioactivity detection, Azur Drones Skeyetech-DIZI, has received an award at the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE).

A global recognition by the nuclear industry

Developed in partnership with AVNIR Energy, the Skeyetech-DIZI solution is the first scintillation detector embedded on an autonomous drone. This solution enables to carry out 24/7 radioactivity measurements on a site very quickly and automatically. Every 2 years, the WNE Awards reward the latest innovations dedicated to the nuclear industry. Skeyetech-DIZI received the first prize in the “Products and Services Innovations” category.

“Skeyetech-DIZI is a real innovation for the safety and environmental control of nuclear sites. Thanks to the miniaturization of the detector embedded in an autonomous drone, it offers, in comparison with current solutions, essential advantages for radioactivity measurement”,

explains Patrick Landais, President of the WNE Awards Jury.

Azur Drones makes its mark in the nuclear field

With this award, Azur Drones once again confirms the maturity and added value of its solution for the nuclear industry. The Skeyetech-DIZI solution has already been deployed on the site of a major player in the French nuclear industry and is attracting interest from several nuclear operators in France and abroad. In addition, since the beginning of 2021, Skeyetech autonomous drone is deployed on the Orano La Hague site.

“We are very proud to equip today some of the most sensitive sites in the world with our made-in-France technology. As Skeyetech was designed to reinforce the protection of people, assets and the environment on critical sites, establishing ourselves in the nuclear field is a real victory for our teams”,

concludes Jean-Marc Crépin, CEO of Azur Drones.
