is a supplier of automation software for data acquisition workflows in the commercial drone market. The Full-3D Flight Planning Engine provides unprecedented degrees of automation in flight plan generation, plan visualization and flight execution, making it the best choice for safe, efficient and high-quality data acquisition.
For the first time, complex-looking infrastructure inspections become accessible to anyone with a drone. The engine inspects telecommunication towers, electric grids, infrastructure networks (railways, roads, pipelines, etc.), bridges but also offers unique terrain-aware surveys, not available anywhere else in the current market.
Drone Harmony’s bootstrapped software as a service that plans and executes today more than 150’000 drone flights around the globe every year. Drone Harmony has now raised CHF 1.5 million with Lead Investor Spicehaus Partners AG, Zürcher Kantonalbank and private investors to fast-track the much-needed infrastructure digitalization in today’s digital world:
“The funds will be used to further accelerate innovation in Drone Harmony’s full-3D flight planning products, execute its market strategy and expand its portfolio through strategic partnerships in the drone & infrastructure digitalization space.”
Martin Fuchsberger, Co-Founder and CEO at Drone Harmony
The first Full-3D data capture platform for any enterprise drone operation
Drone Harmony‘s market-first Full-3D data capture platform consists of mobile and web applications and a fully integrated cloud service. It is designed for enterprise workflows and supports off-the-shelf, widely available drones, making it globally deployable. The key enabling technology is an automated mission planning capability that exploits GIS, CAD and shape data about the geometry of the inspected asset and its environment to generate and execute safe and optimized data capture missions in complex use cases. The platform is the first to incorporate a Full-3D interface providing complete visuals and control over every drone operation.
Specific Example Cell Tower Inspection
With more than 3 million assets requiring regular inspections worldwide, the cell tower inspection market is among the fastest-growing and most promising drone inspection markets. Operating a drone around a cell tower is challenging, if not even dangerous. Every operator is a professional pilot and cameraman solving a six-dimensional problem: Flying a drone and directing a camera, both in three dimensions. Thus traditional drone operations are slow, time-consuming, dangerous and require expert pilots. On top of that, the collected data often is incomplete and of inferior quality.
Drone Harmony’s Cell Tower Scan completely revolutionized the inspections of communication towers: The flight planning engine determines the optimal flight trajectory and camera angles, followed by automated flight execution and data collection. The outcome? Inspections are safe, up to 80% faster and the collected data is complete and of high quality.
“With the Drone Harmony application acquisition being consistent, the flight patterns and automation provided us with steady high-quality models for the purposes of tower inspections.”
