Northrop Grumman Gets $97M US Navy Triton Support Award

Northrop Grumman

will continue providing services in support of U.S. Navy and Australian MQ-4C Tritons and the unmanned aerial system’s mission control and operator training platforms under a $97.3 million contract modification.

The award covers maintenance, logistics and sustainment services as well as test, technical and reach-back engineering support for the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance-capable aircraft, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Over a one-year period, Northrop will conduct most of the contract efforts in several locations in Maryland, California and Florida. The remaining 21 percent of work will be done outside and within the continental U.S.

The Navy will obligate $43.2 million in its fiscal 2021 and 2022 funds at the time of the award. The contractor will also receive funding from the foreign cooperative project allocation.

The Naval Air Systems Command exercised the modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract previously awarded to Northrop.
