The UAS system must be capable of functioning in all conditions and environments, be quick to deploy, hand-launched, have a maximum weight of ten kilos, and an operating range of 30 kilometres. Rheinmetall and AeroVironment are well-positioned to deliver a compelling solution, with AeroVironment’s expertise in the design, development, and production of UAS, and its PumaTM 3 AE UAS being used by armed forces globally. The modular concept of the PumaTM 3 AE offers an optimal platform for a small UAS for special forces.
