An unknown unmanned aerial vehicle fell on the territory of the airport in Belgorod, a representative of emergency services told RIA Novosti.
“In the afternoon, a drone crashed, the airport fence was slightly damaged,” he said.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the emergency services.
Belgorod Airport has been closed since February 24, 2022 as part of the flight restriction regime in the south and in the central part of Russia.
The Belgorod region has been repeatedly shelled by Ukraine, and a high level of terrorist threat operates throughout the region.
