Ukraine has announced plans to start mass production of loitering munitions, which will look, for all intents and purposes, like a clone of the Lancet kamikaze drone.
The head of the Ministry of Statistics Mykhailo Fedorov said that the attack drone is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 40 km.
Ukraine has a large number of different drones with a range of up to 20 km, but at night it is quite difficult to find a target within a range of 20 km. But now the Ukrainian Defense Forces need to destroy targets at ranges up to 40 km. It took half a year for the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine to develop the market in this direction.
” There are several companies on our radar now, and we are testing the products ,” Mykhailo Fedorov said.
According to him, the first contracts are a matter of weeks, and they will go to the front soon after that.

” There are already combat applications, but they are still units. It is difficult to name specific dates, but within two months, information will begin to appear in the Russian public – how their tanks are on fire ,” Fedorov said.
In August of last year, the defense-industrial complex presented a new barrage ammunition “Perun” .

Even then, the Ukrainian development was very similar to the Russian barrage munition “Lancet”. It was noted that the length of “Perun” is 1365 mm, width 1370 mm and 800 mm. “Perun” is equipped with a double cross-shaped wing, which provides the necessary lifting power while simultaneously reducing its dimensions.
