Honeywell Aerospace announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, EMS Defense Technologies, was selected as an awardee under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) program.
The multiple-award contract has a total ceiling value of $1.5 billion and enables Honeywell Aerospace to provide advanced hardware, software and ancillary services designed to counter threats presented by unmanned aerial systems.
“Being selected for this program reflects Honeywell Aerospace’s deep expertise in delivering trusted technologies that help safeguard the nation,”
said Matt Milas, president of Defense and Space, Honeywell Aerospace.
“As unmanned aircraft threats continue to evolve, we are proud to support DHS with advanced capabilities that enhance situational awareness, improve operational effectiveness, and strengthen the security of personnel, facilities and critical infrastructure.”
Under Track 1, which covers the delivery of C-UAS hardware, software, training, maintenance and related support services, Honeywell Aerospace will work closely with DHS procurement and technical teams as task orders are issued throughout the life of the contract. The company’s solutions portfolio includes advanced sensing technologies, integrated software platforms, and mission-enabling capabilities that help government agencies detect, identify, track and respond to emerging aerial threats.
The DHS C-UAS IDIQ program is designed to accelerate the deployment of technologies that address the growing challenges posed by unmanned aircraft systems. Through this contract vehicle, Honeywell Aerospace is well positioned to support DHS and other federal stakeholders with scalable, proven solutions that help secure the homeland and protect critical assets.
