8,100 Drones Light Show in Shenzhen Sets New Guinness World Record

A stunning display of 8,100 drones lit up night sky over Shenzhen, China, setting a new Guinness World Record for the most drones flying simultaneously.

The drone light shows in the video were performed at the  Universiade Sports Center on September 4 and 5. These two performances successfully broke two Guinness World Records.

On September 4, a world record was set with “the largest light image composed of 7,998 drones,” offering audiences a unique visual experience.

On September 5, a new world record was set for “the largest number of drones flying simultaneously” – a total of 8,100. The 18-minute light and shadow show, created by the lighting designer of the Paris Olympics, unfolded across the night sky.

The two drone shows were performed by Shenzhen HighGreat Innovation Technology Development Co., Ltd. (“HighGreat”), a “little giant” company that specializes in a niche market, boasts cutting-edge technologies, and shows great potential.

Located in Longgang District, the company ventured into drone development in 2014 and established drone formation performances as its primary area of expertise in 2018. With a fleet of over 60,000 drones, it has presented thousands of drone performances in more than 300 cities around the globe.

It lives up to its reputation as a leading supplier in UAV formation flight systems and has captured more than 70% of the global market share.
