The Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS) is pleased to announce the launch of its web site: www.jarus-rpas.org.
This website will be the focal point for JARUS communications, as well as interaction with the worldwide Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)/Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) community.
Besides making JARUS-related information available to the international RPAS community, the website will play a significant role in the information and consultation process concerning the JARUS deliverables. Draft and final JARUS deliverables will be published on the web site, and during a consultation period, a comment response form will be available to provide, online, comments on such documents.
JARUS is an international group of experts originating from National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Its purpose is to recommend technical, safety and operational requirements for the certification and safe integration of UAS/RPAS into airspace and at aerodromes. The group will base their work on consideration and review of existing regulations and other material applicable to manned aircraft, and will draft specific UAS/RPAS guidance material to cover the unique features and characteristics of these systems.
The hosting of the JARUS website is kindly being provided by UVS International.
