The VT Group has announced that Daniel Bertram has joined the organization as president of the Unmanned Systems line of business and member of the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, he will have responsibility for the vertical and horizontal expansion of the group’s US services offering worldwide.
VT Group’s Unmanned Systems offers services in multiple unmanned aerial platforms, delivering mission-specific applications and a full suite of services to the U.S. military, federal agencies, and a variety of commercial industries. In addition to providing field service representatives to its customers globally, it owns and operates unmanned systems on a fee-per-service basis.
Bertram joins VT Group with more than 25 years experience, including 14 years of successful executive leadership in aviation, unmanned vehicles, and defence systems as a supplier/partner to domestic prime contractors such as Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin as well as international organizations.
Most recently Bertram was president/CEO of Coda Octopus Americas based in Salt Lake City, and previously president/CEO of DataMetrics Corporation in Orlando, Fla., both tier two defense contractors. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University.
