is totally dedicated to the fast growing European RPAS operators community. In this sense, operator should be understood as a company supplying commercial flight services with an RPAS. It should be noted that there are currently more than 1000 legally approved or authorised RPAS operators in Europe.
The RPAS CivOps 2013 conference will take place for the second consecutive year at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels, Belgium from 9 to 11 December 2013. This conference should be seen within the framework of the upcoming implementation of the European RPAS Roadmap.
The objectives of this conferences are to:
– Disseminate information on the currently on-going civil RPAS-related regulatory activities in Europe and specifically on the European RPAS Roadmap (in coordination with the European Commission);
– Increase awareness relative to the currently on-going civil RPAS operations [commercial & non-commercial (incl. corporate)];
– Highlight the diversity of current & potential civil RPAS applications and present business case examples;
– Make it possible for current civil RPAS operators to state their case regarding matters of critical importance relative to a continued development of the RPAS services market;
– Address the critical issue of RPAS operator responsibility, liability & insurance;
– Contribute to identifying the civil RPAS community to itself;
– Permit potential customers of RPAS flight services to express their requirements;
– Create a forum for current and future civil RPAS operators, RPAS manufacturers and the representatives of the organizations that are involved in preparing the future for civil RPAS operations to interact;
