UK-based company Horizon:51 is new start-up offering both professional aerial photography services as well as pre-built systems for industrial and domestic photographic and inspection applications.
The company uses existing commercially available components and equipment to offer versatility to suit almost any commercial aerial task. In addition, Horizon:51 offers custom build and aerial photography and video services to specific client requirements.
The first product in the SkyOptix range is the SkyOptix H:51-X4, which will be capable of flying a number of different configurations and payloads, and can be purchased mission ready with ground control station for under £5,000.
The company is a partnership between two friends, Jake Memery: a qualified aerospace engineer who previously worked for Agusta Westland, building full sized aircraft, who now also owns his own aerospace technical publication company and, James Lees: a university graduate who also has experience of working for a large international aerospace company.
