A Kansas City man plans to explore the lifesaving potential of drones. Lance Nash of Hex FX Aerials has been using unmanned aircraft to shoot video of events for the last two years.
Now he’s ready to use his equipment for search and rescue shoots, saying it allows searchers to cover more ground. A drone could also carry supplies to someone who’s trapped.
He’s got an answer for anyone with privacy concerns. “I’ve got probably three grand into mine. The high-end ones have about $15,000 to $50,000 in them. Nobody is spending $50,000 or even $3,000 to come peek in your window,” Nash said.
He’s captured Sporting Kansas City, the big picnic and fireworks. He also gets a lot of requests to cover personal events.
